This assignment was from spring of Sophomore year. We were tasked with creating a poster that represented a story from our childhood that had meaning to us.
I chose One Morning In Maine by Robert McClosky. This story reminds me of my childhood living on the coast of Maine. To the left is my final edition of the poster. A photograph of a harbor in Maine at sunset is the focus, with a summary of the story running along the edge like a frame. The photograph has been altered and the grain increased, and is cropped into a circle to represent my memory of my childhood - as if I am looking through a hazy telescope into my past.
Below are other editions of the poster from the design process.
